OUR GOAL

The goal of the Law Office of Peter H. Beltran is to help people become comfortable discussing and taking action with their Estate Planning.  The first step in achieving our goal is for Attorney Beltran to meet with clients where they are most comfortable, either in their home, office or office of an advisor.

The second step is to have a plan of action.  Attorney Beltran will have three (3) meetings with clients.  At the  first meeting  clients and Attorney Beltran  get to know each other to decide whether they may work together to achieve the clients' estate planning needs and desires.  In other words, is it a good fit?  If the clients and Attorney Beltran agree it is a good fit, then Attorney Beltran reviews worksheets for the clients to complete for the second meeting. When completing the worksheets, it is helpful for clients to contact their other advisors, (financial advisors, CPAs, life insurance professionals)  who may have information that will help them fill out the worksheets.  A second meeting is scheduled to give both parties a deadline and keep the process moving forward.  There is no fee for the initial meeting.

At the second meeting, clients and Attorney Beltran review the worksheets together to see if either party has any questions.  After thoroughly reviewing and answering all questions to make certain both Attorney Beltran and the clients are on the same page, a third meeting is scheduled.

Finally, at the third meeting the documents comprising the plan created by the clients and Attorney Beltran are witnessed and signed.  Attorney Beltran makes copies of the signed documents and returns the originals to clients.  Attorney Beltran usually meets with clients for a review of their plans within 5 years of their original meeting unless contacted by clients to meet sooner or the law changes requiring document updates.

Attorney Peter H. Beltran

Peter H. Beltran has focused on estate planning for over 20 years.  He graduated from Boston College in 1985 and Massachusetts School of Law in 1992.  Before marrying his wife, he lived and practiced in Middlesex County. After his marriage, he moved to the South Shore and has lived and practiced in Plymouth County for the past 18 years.  In the Fall of 2013, Peter decided to take his practice on the road and has been meeting with clients at their homes, offices and advisors' offices ever since.

When he is not working, Peter divides his time driving his two teenage children to the many activities they are involved in, traveling with the entire family to wherever his wife desires and fighting the slow, yet inexorable creep of middle age spread.

A team player, Peter has been an active member and volunteer with the Rotary Club of Plymouth for the past 16 years.  He has served as Secretary, Vice-President, President Elect, President and Vocational Service Director on the Board of Directors.

As a traveling attorney, Peter is happy to meet with clients from Norfolk, Plymouth, Bristol, Barnstable and Dukes Counties.
